Anderson Regional Medical Center was established by Dr. William J. Anderson in 1928, one year before the Great Depression hit. Even though it was founded during one of the bleakest economic eras in our country's history, Anderson grew through hardship to become the most comprehensive health system in the region. Today, Anderson is one of the largest medical systems in Mississippi and one of the state's major employers.
